Places & Spaces talks Black Hole Museum at the Airport Open House

Image
Kevin Holsapple of Places and Spaces and Barbara Grothus hosted a table at the June 28th Airport Open House to provide information and talk to interested people about the idea of a Black Hole Museum to tell the story of one of our community's most famous businesses and the man behind it - Ed Grothus.  A drawing was held for a copy of "Atomic Ed" by Janire Najera.  Barbara donated the book for the drawing.  “We were really pleased to speak with so many people who have vivid memories of the Black Hole, and others who have heard of it but are too new to the community to have experienced it. Feedback about the idea was strongly positive,” said Holsapple.  Many people spoke about things they still have and use in their homes that originated, at least in part, at the Black Hole.
